Lemonheads - My Drug Buddy
1. Their gig last night was predictably ace amazing brilliant perfect. Highlight for me: some kind of timing mashup that meant Evan threw in ‘Different Drum’ - my favourite.
2. OMG It took me back. Despite being full of aging indie kids and copious amounts of tall large bald men, it still felt like the 90s. It felt like I was 16 again. The Lemonheads were the band that made me realise that there was more to music than Smash Hits and Bros and New Kids On The Block. I clearly remember watching Evan in his red leopard print coat on Top Of The Pops doing Mrs Robinson in 1992. I was bewitched. And from that moment on I was only interested in music. And the kids at school started calling me a freak. Evan truly did change my life.
Desperately looking for pics of mud at glasto to make me feel better about not being there this year. this is the best i can do. pathetic. (via)
Belle & Sebastian, Lazy Line Painter Jane
Greatest B&S song, ever, I can’t decide if its because the organ or the note perfect harmonies, or the closing jam.
For me it’s all of those things, plus the handclaps, but mostly Monica Queen’s vocals. shivers.
Queen - Don’t Stop Me Now
